Lol so s'about time I did this here AN review..... since it's like been 4 months >_>
So basically it was same ol same ol move into the hotel just before the con starts all excited, find your table, sell pikachus, see people you know and wait for saturday, go to jack astors good stuff. The homodachi made a new doujin as always better than the year before's but on the downward trend I didn't have a single page in it and sadly watched it sell like hotcakes TT TT. On the other hand one thing of mine did sell like hotcakes this year. And of course it was the pikachu's... it's always the pikachus, it doesn't matter if you drew it years ago and it's not your best stuff cause it's pikachu. That's right I just told you secret#23423 of selling in artist alley of anime conventions PIKACHU WILL ALWAYS SELLL ALWAYS! lol. In other news in my k -everythign binging I came with a fresh set of k-pop related goodies that I like and by goodies I mean 2 eerr 1. I spent a long time drawing that IU print which I still feel good about and managed to bang out a Sulli f(x) print on friday night at the hotel lol. Unfortunately they didn't sell very much perhaps b/c most people didn't even notice them... or b/c they weren't related to big bang, shinee or dbsk buut I still sold a few and was immensely pleased to meet a couple iu and f(x) enthusiasts.... even if they all asked "hey uh I know you have Sulli but where's Amber?" lol I'm sorry I didn't actually have time OTL and Sulli is my favorite lol. Oh yea on saturday after not watching anime for centuries I was quite excited when homodachi suggested I watch YuriYuri which was honestly one of the most hilarious moments ever. Not because the show was hilarious or even very good in my opinion but because it was like it was such a stereotypical moe show and I wasn't nearly as enchanted as in my moe loving days lol. I mean I was like "lol it's been 20 minutes and I honestly think nothing has happened" I mean I don't even think any realy meaningful dialogue or anything happened I was in disbelief that I could watch like 23 minutes of actually nothing but something happening. all this backed by my drawing drawing circle who's taste in anime I didn't really ever question lol. Nothing against the show it's not terrible but it was just soo hilarious that I actually laughed hysterically for a good 5-10 minutes lol. Anyway that was fun kinda like coming back to gameboy colour graphics 10 years later remembering how u used to think it was cutting edge hi-tech stuff. After that.....the con didn't really exist for me...yea... sunday... it didn't really exist lol..
AN breakdown shorter
Friday: Check-in, sell pikachus, make prints at the hotel, eat jackastors
Saturday: man the table, wish I did the doujin, sell pikachus
Sunday: .... *I died*
Well here's to hoping I get a table next year
In other news this year I decided I'd give art an actual honest shot and am taking a full year of art fundamental at seneca@york this year. Exciting stuff the classes are fun, I feel normal doodling in class (versus not paying attention), my classmates also like art, extra life drawing. I'm excited to see how the real first week gets I'm so psyched to give this my all.. I'ma draw like a fiend. The only wierd thing is how 90% of my class mates are like yea I'm fresh outta highschool and I'm like LOL. Anyway that's what's in the loop for now.. oh other than I work at secondcup and am super tanned from almost everyday wannabe tennis... until next time... whoever actually reads these.
